Fiona trained with Motley at the Almeida.
She enjoys exploring the relationship between existing architecture and the designed space, unlocking the hidden dynamics within traditional and non-traditional theatre spaces to find the strongest points of exchange between performer and audience.
In both contemporary and classic performance, she responds to each writers' unique use of language, endeavouring to design environments that offer directors and actors space to explore.
The designs for Outlying Islands (pictured) were exhibited at Collaborators: Design for Performance at the V&A November 2007 to August 2008.
